Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see! For I tell you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear and did not hear it.

The script writers had Luke 16:17 preceding Luke 10:24. "It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear, than for the smallest detail of the law to be done away with" was replaced with Luke 10:23: "Blessed are the eyes which see the things that you see!" to regain proper context for following phrases. (7/23/02 per STF and Paul E.) According to Oxford, "blessed" can be pronounced "blesid" (listed first) or "blest." The word "blest" is listed as a poetic variation of "blessed." I would suggest using "blesid" as the pronunciation. (Brian Mytas)
